Since having my own baby and shopping for her it has become clear to me that only a Mum can design the perfect baby clothes. And since launching the brand I've had the pleasure of meeting so many other small, local, Mummy-owned baby brands with the most perfect products that my inner-ex-fashion-buyer has been so desperate to champion these brands, and tell you all about them.
Today I am launching 4 of these Dubai-based, Mum-owned baby and kids clothing brands, with more to follow. I have personally met all 4 of these brand owners and experienced their beautiful designs, so I want to tell you a little about why I chose each brand.
Beaux Desert

Launched only a couple of months after Next of Kin in 2023, by Mum-of-2 Aisha Bearn, Beaux Desert is committed to creating a sustainable brand by using eco-friendly fabrics and sustainable manufacturing processes.
My personal favourite pieces from Beaux Desert are the matching muslin tops and shorts which are perfect for busy kids and toddlers to keep cool whilst playing in the sun.
Royal Bee
'cocoon your little one in softness and purity'
Bazak, the owner of Royal Bee and I have been market buddies, spending many a Wednesday morning sat with our stalls next to each other at Ripe Market eyeing up each others beautiful creations, and on one occasion doing a swap, a Next of Kin Sailor Set for Bazak's little boy in exchange for a Royal Bee Hooded Towel for my little girl.
Safe to say she was the first person I contacted when I came up with the idea of adding more baby brands to the Next of Kin website.
With a passion for handmade, organic, baby accessories Royal Bee makes a for wonderful baby gift for a loved one.
Giraffie
"Comfy, hypo-allergenic, practical and unique"
Funnily enough, my very first sample attempt for Next of Kin was a wrap-front, muslin, onesie which turned out - well - rather odd looking! So I sighed relief that I didn't need to try to rectify that design when Giraffie launched in 2023 with expertly designed tie-front, muslin outfits which are breathable, organic and totally practical for the UAE heat, and also to easily change the baby.
The owner Gulnur has perfectly refined 2 shapes that all parents who are raising their baby in a hot country need; the onesie and the top and trouser set.
Eleonora

Eleonora, named after the founders daughter, was created by a passionate mom who holds an MSc in Physical Chemistry. This unique combination of scientific expertise and maternal dedication drives everything they do.
Eleonora's core belief is that every parent deserves access to safe and eco-friendly products for their precious children. I love that their pyjama's come in a range of styles, short sleeve, footed, snaps vs zips, they cater to everyone. And even better they have matching designs for the whole family.
